Project Description

A collaboration between Torti Gallas and the New York design firms AA Studio and Rockwell Group, this mixed-use complex at 301 and 331N Streets, NE in Washington, DC brings upscale sophistication to within walking distance of Washington’s Union Station. The project complements the eclectic and fast-evolving neighborhood while preserving a link to the past: a historic warehouse designed for National Capital Press by Chas H. Thompkins Co. in 1931 will be repurposed for retail and office, while rental units and a hotel are being added between two high-rise volumes over below-grade parking. Neighborhood oriented retail lines the upgraded pedestrian zones along 3rd, 4th and N Streets NE.

Project amenities include two lushly landscaped courtyards, a fitness center with climbing wall, ample ground-floor bicycle parking and a dog spa for pet owners. Rooftop party rooms open onto a landscaped roof terrace with an infinity pool and views of the US Capitol dome.
