Project Description

As part of their continuing efforts to address their housing crisis, the City Council of Belmont, California hired the LINC Housing team to develop affordable housing on two city-owned parcels. Working with the LINC team, Torti Gallas + Partners is providing architectural and engineering services for 37 new units of housing on these two small sites located near the Caltrain station. The new development will consist of 18 one-bedroom apartments for low-income seniors, as well as 10 two-bedroom and 9 three-bedroom apartments for low-income individuals and families. Amenities include one level of structured parking, office space, community rooms and service/conference space.

In addition to the city’s contribution of the land, the development will also utilize low-income housing tax credits, federal home loans and San Mateo County affordable housing funds. This is the City of Belmont’s first 100% affordable housing development.
