Project Description

GreenGate forms part of an important ‘gateway’ into Henrico County and the West Broad Street corridor in Short Pump, VA. GreenGate is a pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use neighborhood with a commercial component fronting Broad Street and a residential component providing the transition to the neighborhood to the south.

The commercial area on Broad north contains medical office, a boutique grocer, restaurants, coffee shop, and additional retail centered on a small fountain plaza.  The residential neighborhood will be comprised of small scaled blocks of townhomes, laid out in a picturesque fashion with slightly curving geometries to accommodate the topography. A series of small parks, are distributed within the neighborhood to build on the public realm established by the main street character of the commercial quarter.

The Henrico County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the entitlement of the GreenGate parcel and it is currently under construction.
