Project Description

The 15-story, 330-unit building boasts water views and views of downtown Tampa. The street level is greeted by a 2-story lobby space at the corner of N. Meridian Avenue and East Whiting Street. This area is emphasized with double-height storefront and expansive amounts of glass. Two-story, townhouse style units create a street edge with their front stoop access. These also provide an eye-catching backdrop for the streetscape along East Whiting Street. These units turn the corner of the building at the south and east elevations to continue a pedestrian scale. The parking garage at levels 1 through 5 is cloaked from public view by carefully placed accent metal panels. These design elements help craft the pedestrian experience, by focusing on materiality and scale.

The building’s massing steps back at the sixth level to reveal over 7,000 square feet of outdoor amenity space. This oasis is divided in three distinct sections, with each giving the residents an option of how to enjoy the Florida weather. The Pool Terrace boasts views of Channelside while also giving the option for enjoying semi-private cabanas. The Social Terrace creates a focal point underneath the cover of the building above and its corner location allows view of the both the water and the city. At night this is a beacon of activity. The Private Terrace, with views of downtown Tampa, features large potted palm trees, a trellis-covered firepit area and lawn area for relaxing and outdoor yoga. The railings at this level and at all balconies on the west and south elevations include glass panels so that views are not interrupted by vertical pickets.
