Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Torti Gallas + Partners, an award-winning planning, architecture, and placemaking firm located in Washington, DC, is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join its national MarComm team to provide technical, administrative, and graphics support to the Director of Marketing, Director of Communications, and Principals of the firm. The position will join our team in TG+P’s recently renovated office in the historic Grimke School at the U Street/Cardozo Metro station. Specific responsibilities include preparing qualifications packages, preparing proposals in response to Requests for Proposals, graphics support, general writing and contract editing, sourcing and maintaining data, client research, as well as working independently on special projects according to agreed timelines and defined objectives.

Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of marketing experience in a fast paced environment, preferably in the A/E/C industry. Expertise in the use of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are key to success. Knowledge of Deltek or similar CRM and digital asset management systems is a plus. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential, with the ability to multi-task, demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and a high level of support skills in a team environment. An interest in architecture and design is desired.

Working with the MarComm team and firmleaders, the candidate will:

- Create and maintain marketing materials such as resumes, project sheets, brochures, advertisements, basic proposal content including project lists, fee and rates, schedules, and other commonly requested boilerplate content

- Provide administrative coordination, scheduling, and tracking associated with RFP/RFQ responses, qualifications packages, interview presentations, and presentations

- Coordinate with outside subconsultants and associated architectural firms on proposal and interview materials

- Produce interview slide decks and participle in rehearsals

- Produce high-quality, customized proposals, qualifications, and brochure packages

- Produce collateral for publications, advertisements, displays, and other marketing materials as needed

- Add client and contact information to Deltek Vantagepoint and maintain lists

- Assist with a variety of Business Development activities including segment meetings, research, and updating meeting notes for distribution

 

Requirements:

- Excellent organizational, tracking, and communication skills

- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

- Strong graphic design sensibility

- Self-motivated, flexible, adaptable

- Work well independently and /or as part of a team

- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

- Must be able to work in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment, work under pressure on multiple concurrent projects and must be adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities

- Strong communication/relationship building skills as well as timely and accurate information-sharing are a must

- Strong critical thinking capabilities, innate curiosity and an ability to absorb and learn quickly are vital

- A passion for design and a keen interest in the architecture and design profession are necessary

- Understanding of concepts, practices and procedures in the design profession and familiarity with the language of architecture are a plus
