Downtown Temple Terrace Revitalization Master Plan

Temple Terrace, FL
The Torti Gallas master plan reflects a "downtown" intent by creating a clearly defined center, small-scaled blocks, and buildings that front onto streets.

The Downtown Temple Terrace Revitalization Master Plan is the result of the efforts of a great number of people – City and Civic leaders, City staff, City residents and merchants, urban designers, landscape architects, architects, traffic planners, civil engineers, and economists. It is  focused on uniting all existing neighborhoods and services into a central place—a “downtown”.

The master plan reflects this intent by creating a clearly defined center, small-scaled blocks, and buildings that front onto streets. Fountains, parks, and shade-filled arcades, all contribute to the new downtown’s pedestrian orientation and character.  A sequence of public spaces that connect Bullard Parkway, 56th Street, and the open space qualities of the golf course to the Hillsborough River will create a downtown linked to its waterfront.  With a balanced program of restaurants, shops, offices, passive and active recreation uses and parks, high-quality residences and an atmosphere reminiscent of some of the most treasured small towns in America, Downtown Temple Terrace will be an amenity-rich pedestrian-friendly addition to the entire region.
